Hi all this is my first post. I did a search and didnt find the answer to this but I guess its been covered loads of times, so sorry for a repeat if it has.
I bought a Lidl Navigator last week and not having had a pda before I removed the screen protector right away, the upshot of this was that I managed to get a small amount of sticky glue from the packaging on a finger and then transfered it to the screen :x
I tried a soft damp cloth and it wont budge, I am a bit wary of any chemicals without getting advise first.
Any proven Ideas for me please?
Oh and re the missing 512Mb card, CC tell me they are getting cheques sent out to those who complained. I was also dissapointed at the lack of USB external antenna as I had a seperate use for that on my laptop with Autoroute!
Good forums btw, I spent hours reading lots of posts before signing up.

Try a moist cleaning cloth for glasses (whatever brand that is over there,"Brillux" or "SeeClear" etc.)
If that doesn't help, use your equivalent of "Goo-Gone" which specifically removes sticky stuff (tape adhesive) , and then clean it out again with the Brillux. _________________ Lutz

Thanks Lutz, I rang customer support and they suggested using windowlene, thats a UK product for cleaning windows that I already use to clean the crt screens here.
So I will try that on a Q tip and see if it works.
I also have a question re the screen protector that was on the pda when it shipped, are you supposed to leave that on all the time, or is it just for shipping?
Are these available to buy sized to the pda if they are supposed to be used all the time to save the screen being damaged by the stylus?
Seems that when you slide the pda back into its protective wallet the protector has a tendancy to detach itself from the screen anyway.

Thanks for all the links Diplo
I have some good news, I tried the Windowlene spray onto a soft cloth and it did remove the sticky patch without marking the touchscreen in any way. So I can recommend that product now for cleaning, well at least once without damage anyway.
I will checkout buying more screenprotectors now thanks. |

I would continue to recommend Pocket PC Techs' WriteSHIELD AG - ideally the deluxe pack, because that way you get the useful cleaning spray and an extra microfibre cloth.
There is a newer WriteSHIELD C2 product available - but it's not anti-glare, so I'd argue it's less suitable for devices used for in-car navigation.
My iPAQ hx4700 is wearing a WriteSHIELD AG. The kits are available in the UK from Expansys.
