|
|
I used TT2 with no problem on my Viewsonic........ it is only a gps in car device for me........ nothing else is loaded. When I go to install, it works fine. but I cannot open the app. It simply freezes my device. The only way out is a soft reset. I have tried over and over. I also installed the old gps driver on the unit, as when I use the TT3 one, no gps is actually installed in the System Folder it seems. I have sent 3 emails to TT with no reply. Very frustrated........ any help would be great!
Thanks so much in advance. _________________ Ian |

Which ViewSonic?
Also, can you afford a hard reset? _________________ Lutz

I have hard reset 3 times........ doesn't help. I don't mind resetting as TT has been and will be the only app on the device.
It is a Viewsonic V37. I have used TT2 on it with no problem since it came out.
Any help would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO appreciated as TomTom has responded to me once or answered any of my 3 questions!

OK, let's corner that beast.
- Do a hard reset
- install TTGPS 2.07 (from our downloads page), configure your GPS receiver and report back if it runs fine _________________ Lutz

I tried that driver before with the same problem, but don't mind trying again!
Do you mean install just the gps driver and not TT itself, configure the driver and then install TT? _________________ Ian |

yes, do it step by step. First make sure your receiver still plays. _________________ Lutz

GPS works fine.
Got a signal within 10 seconds.........
so it must be the app eh?
Should I try installing it? It will overwrite the 2.07 driver though........ _________________ Ian |

The 3.07 file that is there on their site is the gps driver again it seems....... not the TT3 app itself. _________________ Ian |

slowly, slowly.
the installer contains all language versions, including US.
http://www.tomtom.com/updates/ttnupd307.zip
Run it (make sure the PDA is not connected) , and then search your computer for CAB files. One of them is the US file. Copy that to the PDA and run it.
Now, out of curiosity - which maps are you planning to use? The 2.x maps won't work. _________________ Lutz
