Has anyone else noticed this? Since downloading SP1, each time I arrive at my destination, the route is no longer automatically cancelled. In fact, today the Navman tried to do a recalc after I arrived at my destination and then drove a few metres past it when I parked! |

I noticed this phenomenon on Route Demonstrator before SP1
I will check this out later today on the PiN version 3. _________________ Ian.

To follow on from the previous post.
I set several destinations this afternoon and in all cases, the route automatically cancelled at the end of the set journey.
There was one instance when I arrived and the route did not cancel, but that was because I had not actually reached the set destination. An error on my part. When I drove the few extra yards to the set destination the route cancelled and went to 2D mode as expected.
I have no idea why you experience this phenomenon on the 510.
Does it happen every time?
Maybe what you experienced was a software glitch?
Incidentally, one of my 'wishes' is the ability to cancel a route via the pop up menu by tapping 'cancel route' without having to set a new one. _________________ Ian.

Has happened each time since I loaded the SP1. I've been to a few of my 'favourites' and I even moved my final destination point so that I had definately crossed it before I actually got there. The 510 then put up the big ? in the top left, even though the route summary tells me that the route is 100% complete.
A bit weird. |

You cancel a route by selecting 'home' then 'routing info' then cancel route.
When I first had my 510 I found routes didn't auto cancel, but they seem to now (SP1 installed). |

That's to set cancel it manually - it's supposed to do it automatically which is what happend until SP1 went on. Sounds as if you've experienced the opposite.
Weirder. |

This is odd. I didn't/ don't have the problem with either version of the software. It always cancels the route, in some cases before I get to the final destination (I mean as I am pulling into the street not when far away). The voice directions still give me the final instructions though.

To update you all on that problem - I had cause to reset the unit last week and since then the auto cancel seems okay again. Whatever the SP1 did to it, a reset seems to repair it. Weird. |
