Seidio have released two new versions of the G2500 cradles for the new HP iPAQ 4700 and 6300 series. These cradles as with the previous G2500 cradles support an integrated speaker with volume control, GPS Ready (with option GPS Wired Receiver), DC Out Port for charging a celluar phone or Bluetooth GPS Receiver, and can be hard wired into the car electrics (12V-24V) or using the supplied accessory charger plug to power the speaker and GPS Receiver.

Execuse my lack of knowledge, I boght my last GPS in the late eighties, by trimble navigation.
My question is, when you say cradle does it include the GPS reciver, or the reciver is a separate part?
Why would it include a blue tuth if the ipaq 6300 already has a blue tuth, I am little confused. |

The cradle includes a RJ11 connector that can do two things
1) connect a serial GPS receiver directly to the serial port of the Pocket PC (funny enough the 6315 doesn't have a serial port any more, so that's moot)
2) provide power (5V) to either the connected serial receiver, or to any other device - including a BT receiver.
If you don't like the RJ11 plug there is also a round plug on the mount that supplies 5V DC , too.
So the main tasks of the mount are to hold the PDA securely in place, and to provide power to it. Secondary tasks are connection to serial GPS and/orproviding power to other devices. _________________ Lutz
