Sorry...another question from 'confused' in Sussex. I need to buy a couple more SD cards. Can I buy 'any old make' or is there something that I should be aware of ? 1gb (?) sounds good to me ...loads of music and stuff, but someone else told me that they are 'unstable'...whatever that means ! Thanks again . |

Only thing to avoid is Sandisk - these are notoriously bad when using Ipaq's and TomTom (not sure what you are using), although fine in things like digital cameras.
Have a look at Aria - www.aria.co.uk for good prices on Kingston cards.[/u] |

I'm working with Rob at ValueFlash to try to find a reasonably priced 1GB SD card that works properly with TomTom Navigator 3.
So far, I've tried the Integral 1GB "High Speed" SD card, which is now sat on my desk waiting to be returned. The write speed is very high, the read benchmark results can only be described as somewhat strange, and TomTom Navigator 3 crashes on my iPAQ hx4700 when using this card. If I switch to the same map and POI files on my 512MB SD card (made by Panasonic, branded Integral), TomTom Navigator 3 is completely stable.
Rob is going to get me a different 1GB card to try.
