Dave, Tim, et al at PocketGPS,
Do you think there's a chance that there might be a proper postcode program similar to the one designed for the Tomtom 2 that would be written for the 510 - one that would allow for all the postcode to be entered?
Not being a programmer, I have no idea how difficult this would be! |

The one written for TomTom I believe isn't 100% legal. The reason why most GPS companies are not putting in a 7 digit postcode lookup facility is because it's way too expensive due to the excessive license restrictions and costs on the Royal Mail database (7 digit postcodes are the property of Royal Mail). This is why most companies use up to 5 as it's more of a cost thing. |
