There are points throughout where there's a button or a menu option to "An MN4 senden" - in order for the changes to be made, you need to do that... the other keyword to look out for seems to be "Speichern" - which seems to be "save" in software terms.

:D :D . Now we are getting somewhere. Thank you.
Got to grips with colouring streets etc, etc. Learn't how to save and transfer.
Final thing is still the fonts issue. I cannot get the sizes to change. Whatever settings I alter the sizes remain the same. Here's a thought. Do you think it's possible that the fonts are designed to scale with the map? and are thus hard encoded? or at a level the mini4inis has not yet got to??
I have searched all the other boards and cannot find any reference to the issue of fonts.
Finally, one thing I have found, if I use Tweaks2k to change my PDA font to say Comic Sans, then the maps follow suit. It's that that leads me to think that they are hard encoded and therefore unchangeable.
I am not giving up yet though |

Did you get anywhere with this ?? There's supposed to be a TomTom type skin available but i've not come accros it.
I've spent bloody hours this weekend trying to get skins to work and tweaking .ini files to no avail. |

Everywhere except the fonts. Go to this forum, become a member (free) and you can download the files you need.
you must get mini4inis 2.7
and then the skins are in the various skin headers.
TomTom is there along with others.

The site is German, most of the bits and pieces are German but there is an English section, and I will help you out if you get stuck.
Good Luck!!!! |

I've already got mini4inis 2.7 and am using that to select/activate the skin.
When selecting the skin i get a few dialogue boxes pop up that could be error or could be confirmation of something. As i don't speak/read German i've no idea what's going on.
I'm running Median Navigator so at 1st mini4inis error'd out straight away as it looks for mobilenavigator.exe. The .exe for median is called medion-navigator.exe. I simply renamed the .exe to mobilenavigator.exe and it now loads but as i say i'm getting nowhere with applying the skins. |
