What size/colour depth should these be?
Am I right to presume I just stick the POI file and the BMP file (which must be the same name) in the same folder as the main map files on which they plot?
If I create POI's on the PPC itself, where does the file get put? In the same folder as the map data on which the POI's appear?

22 x 22, maximum 256 colour.

Yes. If you use spaces then these should be the “_” underscore character.

Thanks.
Now off to find a utility set that will convert from something Garmin's Mapsource will export to, to TomTom's POI format...
Manual massaging of the data is never fun :-(
