Is there an easy way to tell if there have been different issues of the maps (over time) and which version of them is on the CD I have?

There is, to my knowledge, only one version of the Navigator 3 maps. None of the Navigator 3 maps include M6 Toll, for example.
Version 3.03 and onwards of Navigator 3 patch a few issues with the database 'on the fly', though they do so only partially. For example, if you attempt to find an address in Scarborough, you can now do so with version 3.03 - but if you enter Scarborough and no street, which, by convention, takes you to the centre of the town, from memory you get a location somewhere fairly near York.
All versions of Navigator with the Traffic add-on patch the TMC database at startup - which is one reason why they're so slow to start.
I don't expect we'll see new maps now until the next version of Navigator is released.

And if I have TTN2 upgraded to TTN3 (the free upgrade on the TT Web site), can I tell if th emaps are TTN2 maps (if I didn't do the install, and don't want to re-install from scratch)?

Navigator 2 maps don't work in Navigator 3, and Navigator 3 maps don't work in Navigator 2. That should make things pretty straightforward to sort out!

The map cut number is stored in the .pna file. However, higher numbers do not necesarily mean newer or better maps - it's more a question of twaeking the parameters for the map compilation, and it's a lot of black magic. _________________ Lutz
