Having problems getting POI-Sync to work ? A common problem is because you have Internet Explorer configured to use a proxy server. If you aren't using a proxy server or don't know one is and you are on a dial-up, adsl or cable configuration, following this link and it will get you up and running in minutes. |

Thanks Dave for this reminder which worked a treat. The Automaticallt Detect Settings in IE was ticked and that was preventing Autoupdate now from working. What a clever person you are! Thanks. |

|
|
Dave - You may recall that I had to do a hard reset on my iPaq 3800. It's now working again but I can't get POI Edit v3 to auto update as it did before the hard reset. I have followed your link instructions and everything is set as it should be but I keep getting the following message:
Can't resolve host name to IP address. Pl check internet connection & IE Proxy settings (optionally you can set proxy settings manually from Online/Proxy Settings menu).
Also I can't seem to find any ov2 files in the map file in my storage card even though I don't get an error message when I save as a ov2 file on my PC.
Where am I going wrong? |

Read the front news page
We're moving one of the servers to a new datacentre and this is currently still down. This will cause problems with download POI's, using POI-Sync and grabbing downloads from the site.
We'll post as soon as we know it's back up and running. |

No, XML2 is required and only present in WinXP onwards.
Check out http://www.dnote.nl/ and read the IMPORTANT section, once you have installed XML2 support you should be good to go (providing you leave the proxy info off of IE). |

Well the error message is due to XML issue. If you are still having problems, I suggest you try and email the author Dave over at Dnote.nl |

Hi
I downloaded the software from this website & followed the instructions.
I need some help with downlaoding updated speedcams on copilot 5. When I unzipped the downloaded file (pocketgps_uk_sc) I got a number of excel files. (gatso, specs, temp, redlight, continental).
I downloaded the gatso file as per the instructions. Do I need to download all the excel files to give me coverage of the cameras & if so how do I do it (the instructions were for only 1 file)
Sorry if I am making a very elementary mistake (I have only had my system for a week now!)
Thanks
Sush
PS I had posted this query on the beginners forum but have had no response! |

same problems with update in poiedit, getting proxy problems, previously had no problems at all!!, ( I bet youre sick of these proxy problems).
The Dutch website say's there is a problem at your end, I see you've changed servers recently.
Followed the link re settings to the letter, still won't work, even re installed programme twice. Do you thinK it best to wait and see? _________________ brooke123 |

I seem to be having problems updates again. I've just changed over to POI Edit v 3.5.5. and checked the IE settings again as the link below and all is OK. Is there a problem with the server or is this there something wrong at my end? |
