I got me one yesterday from the Derby store and am very impressed with it. Only niggle I have is that the 7 digit postcode utility that's available only works with TTN
Anyone know how easy (or possible !!) it would be to install TTN on these Medions and replace the cut-down version of Navigon ? |

It's a simple process to install TomTom. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Would I need to delete the data from the MMC card or could the two apps co-exist ? |

TomTom needs 101Mb of space on the storage card for the UK Map, if you have that much free then they will co-exist happily. If not either remove the Medion maps or guy another 256MB SD Card (£25 approx). _________________ Darren Griffin |

Excellent - will give it a whirl.
Incidentally, I purchased POI-Warner for the Medion - do you know if the licence covers the TTN version without me having to buy another licence ?
(obviously I'd have to d/l the different s/w) or should I just go for CheckPOInt (this is a free d/l isn't it ?) |

I couldn't say but personally I'd go with CheckPOInt as it does a great job and for free! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sniffer, I was wondering the same re changing to TTN from Navigon and having to re-register/pay again, so I've asked them and I'll let you know when I hear back. |

ok, thanks - would be good to find out cos I actually quite liked it. Not sure exactly how it compares feature for feature with CheckPOInt but it seemed to do the trick |

You can get a 3rd party case for the Mitac Mio 168 from http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwmio168caseflip.php
He also sells good quality screen protectors - highly recomendeded to keep your screen scratch free. A bit dear but they usually last 6-12 months based on usage.
I know he is HK but I have used him many times over the past years and usually get my items in 5-6 days and the postage is reasonable. |

I haven't got a COM2 option, only Serial Cable on COM1; Serial Cable on SP2; or COM3 (plus USB, IR and Bluetooth).
Can't get mine to pick up any satallites. |
