I want to buy a larger SD card for my TTG... as big as I can get.
I know there is a link to somewhere that lists what SD cards have been tested in various PDAs, cameras etc... but it doesn't seem that up to date and not really that helpful when trying to find something that will *definitely* work with TTG.
I assume some people here are already using larger SD cards.... if so, could you be kind enough to post the manufacturer, capacity and if it is working problem free...? Price / supplier is not needed since I am not in the UK.
TVMIA... that would be a great help.

I'm using a SanDisk 1MB SD Card.
Bought it on ebay for £42.10. That's one heck of a saving on the RRP. |

I'm using a 256MB SD card from Aria. Works absolutely fine and only cost me 15 quid.
Tell you something, if you download all the postcode searching files, you'll be soon running out of space even on a 256!
By the way, does anyone know how to get the missing postcodes from 'Georges' POI program for the TTGo? |

8) I'm using a Lexar 1GB card. Loaded the six USA map segments, took the computer and TTG about 1 and 3/4 hour, but maybe 20 minutes of my time switching disks. Works fine, so far until now - 3 days. |

You need to be very careful when talking about brands - as many brands can switch manufacturer from batch to batch.
My recommendation would be to avoid Sandisk cards and rebadges thereof. Sandisk cards have caused terrible problems on Pocket PCs in the past, especially with TomTom Navigator software which works them hard.
In the past, Lexar has certainly changed from Toshiba to Sandisk - then back to something Japanese.
These days, there's more manufacturers in the market, and I can't identify manufacturers as I once could. The old rule that 'made in Japan' cards are usually good stands - but there are other good cards not marked that way.
I've also heard fewer Sandisk complaints, so maybe they're better these days. However, I will continue to steer clear of Sandisk.
I would recommend 'high speed' cards - they tend to be of better quality than the rest. I'm currently testing an Integral 'High Speed' 1GB SD card for Rob at ValueFlash - primarily in an iPAQ hx4700. I've bought the card at full price, I'm sharing test results with Rob and he'll let me return it if the tests turn out negative.
