Can anyone tell me if TomTom have support for the XT mode of the clip-on?
I can use ST no problem but cannot talk using XT. _________________ IPAQ 6365, Fortuna BT Clip-on, Parrot CK3000, TomTom 3 (with GPS driver 3.07) |

TTŁ Navigator is not meant for walking, I use Memorymap.

As Laurence says, TomTom Navigator 3 isn't designed for walking, and it will keep trying to snap your position to the nearest road.
You need different software for walking. Topographic software such as Memory Map, Fugawi and Anquet is the best, but depending on the maps you want, may be pricey.

David/Laurence
Many thanks for the replies. As I was moslty aiming to use this in London I thought that snapping my position to the nearest road, (i.e. the road I'm walking along) would be a desired feature.
Memory map looks interesting but also very expensive. It's just a shame I can't use the software I already have. Oh well I guess you can't have all things all the time.
I guess I'll have to look into some alternatives
Cheers guys,

Hi dudes,
Finally after a lot of expert help from you guys in this forum, I have sucessfully pieced together a PDA GPS system I am truly happy with and got the thing running correctly (I think !). I had my fair share of problems setting it up. The manuals that come with each item are useless, I learnt more from you guys, especially David W....... Thanks.
Most of my problems, I found the answers to from this forum, but some were pure guess work and a lot of luck. Then remembering not to make the same mistakes and having to start all over again.
I'm probably some sort of expert when it comes to installing TT3.
My problem now is ......
In ST mode on my Fortuna Clip on, I get a lovely signal outside in the open within 30 seconds on a cold start, but indoors or near a window in XT, absolutely nothing, I've tried everything. I've read that I'm not the only person having this problem. I would like it working so I can setup routes at home ready for connection in the car (saves time). I thought I might buy an additional antenna to connect up to my Clip on in the house and shove the Antenna end out of the office window to get a signal indoors. (1) Does this sound cool or what else can I do (2) Do these antennas have a long enough lead i.e. something like 30 feet. _________________ Tom Tom Go 300
