I contacted Garmin Product Support, who did respond, but only with a series of silly suggestions, and without directly answering my queries about any possible deliberate action on Garmin's part. I still await a sensible response from them.

I got the same problem on my Garmin 76 have lost the camera icons on the screen but still do the verbal warning and top banner with the description.

It has to be the recent Garmin update but not got the energy to speak to Garmin support as they will get me to try lots of things I've already tried or be no help.

Me too. They suggested reloading the map which changed nothing.
Not had a chance to try with them again yet.....

If all POi's are not showing, including theirs? Then maybe that is a good complaint

I don't suppose they care about third party POi's

My experience of old with Garmin support is similar. They have no proactive attitude and appear to be reading from cue cards

Unfortunately, Garmin's (out of date, poorly sited, over-sized, incorrect) POIs do still display.
Certainly agree with the 'cue cards' responses comment.

Garmin leaves the update files on your PC

I wonder if you can go back a version and see what happens ?

Same problem here.

Tried changing my icons
44x44 8bit
24x24 8bit
20x20 8bit

Makes no difference. Crying or Very sad

Garmin support were useless gave me some links to useless pages in their FAQ.

Another extended chat session with Garmin 'Support?'.

Uploaded pictures of the problem, went deep into each menu and where the icons now don't show.

They tried to fob me off so kept at it.

Tried to get links for the previous firmware version, they cannot wind-back firmware.

Suggest they at least elevate this to investigate further - no!

Explained that the custom poi import was followed exactly as per their procedures (the links that they sent earlier).

Basically just not interested and have no intention of at least opening a ticket with their development for review.

Question is, if this issue is affecting Drive-smart 76 users only and also could we maybe gauge the number of people on here that are affected.

Is this a ploy to use the Garmin supplied speed camera databases? Wouldn't surprise me.

Does this affect normal, user created, non speed camera POi's

If so that is the approach I'd take

As you say, they probably don't like competition
