With STA displayed press the Android bottom centre square shaped icon. The left pointing chevron just closes STA after a prompt

That's on my Samsung S23+ as shown in the image

Managed to get it minimised but it covers too much of the screen and won’t go below a certain size and shows inside a square, not like yours. Maybe it is different on certain Samsung phones

Tried that, it didn't make any difference, still got the speedo in square on map taking up too much space

Very odd, turning that off on mine and it stops that blue overlay appearing when minimised

It just seems weird that STA won't run in the backgound to get round this. Anyway most of the time I use the car with AA so it is not such a problem other than the phone discharging over time despite being plugged in
