Not GPS but wondered if anyone here has used the Tile trackers and can say what their coverage has been like? My eldest has a habit of leaving his wallet places so was wanting a tracker of sorts.

We're an Android family so the iChip or iFollow or whatever Apple called them are of no use. Google are working on one but have held off starting their updated 'Find My Device" until they have sorted some stuff with Apple about detecting unknown trackres etc so that's not an option yet either.

So Tile are looking to be the best. However as it's Bluetooth and relies on it's own network I was wanting to check coverage and how useful it is to actually find lost items.

Thanks in advance!

Hi MaFt,

I use Apple products, so I have an iPhone, and I use the AirTags. I have one on my credit cards and one in each vehicle, which is very useful when a car is in the garage for a service, MOT, etc.

The great thing about AirTags is the likelihood of somebody with an iPhone walking within range of the AirTage to update the location and last detected time automatically.

I think that the problem with the Tile is that it relies on a device running the Tile app, which I suspect is relatively low.

Hopefully, a Tile Tracker user will be able to advise.

The latest ComputerActive has a small article on these

They mention the Tile tracker along with Chipolo

They also say that Tile has a card and a stickers product as well

Chipolo is one that I've looked at and I was interested by their Google 'Find My Device' implementation - but that's what's currently on hold at Google....

Will have a read, cheers.

Yep - this I why I was hoping the Google version would be up and running....! Sheer numbers for this kind of thing makes a big difference.
