Up until now I've not had a problem with the csv app, but I can't get it to process the files anymore it just comes up with errors and terminates the program,

It says

" Filenames should not have a number in them

Example - Expecting Gatso_Fifty.CSV not Gatso_50.CSV

Unzip the PGPSW File using this program only

Program will terminate"

If I try and unzip them it says

"Error in Remove empty files module. Access to the path (camera folder( is denied.

And shuts program down"

I've never had an issue with it until now, I don't know what to do?

My first check would be to make sure you have downloaded the database using the download link within the program.

Do not download the database directly from here via the link on the right.

As part of that process it changes numbers to words.

Second check is to examine the download folder to make sure nothing else has got in there.

Maybe delete all CSV files from the download folder and start again.

Managed to get it working with using the program itself to download the file.

I have only recently used V2 I used to use V1 and download the file myself off here. But it just stopped working on my machine last week so updated to V2.

Downloading the file outside of the program will always cause that controlled 'program trap'

I can't remember why I change "50" to "fifty", etc, as it's been quite a few years now, must be approaching 14 years since my first VB6 program, since converted to VB.NET

Follow the instruction at the bottom of the error message

All the required sound and picture files are in the download package and need copying to your working folder, which is also listed in the error message.

When you download the CSV Converter package, and unzip it, there are quite a few folders including sound and icon files along with the manual in various formats.

An example of the unzipped package is shown in a previous post :

https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=91951&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=810

Scroll down the page to Oct 18 06:24

Various picture files folders for different sizes and a sound file folder

I can't get this to work again, when I download via the program itself, it still takes me to this website auto downloads them but with numbers in so it rejects them, I have tried manually changing the number to letters but it won't have it?

Any ideas ?

If you have files with numbers then that indicates left over files from a previous manual download

Completely empty your 'working folder' of all .CSV files then go again

If that still fails then can you download, install and run this CSV Checker I wrote a while ago and see what it reveals :

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7r6brpeslcbhded/Garmin%20CSV%20Installer.zip?dl=1

When run it will look like this but with your data, this example is clean of errors:

For reference, I've just downloaded and run the Converter with no errors

I'll check back in later

Managed to sort it, ended up downloading the files through V1 (I prefer V1 as you can change the warning text) made a new folder for the zipped camera download to go in, unzipped the files on V1, processed them and then added the sound and image files to the folder with the processed files in manually then uploading the said folder to the Drivesmart 55 via POI uploader all works a treat.

I couldn't get the sound and image files to work with the camera files on the app like it used to, it's a bit trouble some these converter apps I find but managed to get round it and all working good now with the latest database.

Very odd

If you prefer V1, like some others, that's why I left it in the downloads

V2 is mainly the same code just with some bits missing and an easier setup

Create your own working folder and just point the Converter to it

I had another go at this, the house was empty and the cat asleep so i could push 30 to 45 seconds without being Interrupted.

I stumbled on the fact, i think that my database CSV files have different names to the wav and bmp files. I could not see any ref to that in the help
