What I do is scan the 3 areas that POILoader installs to by default.
It seems to have worked OK so far with just those 3.
Then I set a 'POILoaderFound' variable that I use throughout. _________________ DashCam:

|
|
In the past with V1, I used to download two different files consolidated and complete and then use different pre notification distances, but it does not seem to work when changing V2 distances.
Maybe I am doing it wrong, so could you explain the settings for me.
EDITED:
Just noticed I may not have the latest Version "2022_12_07_16.” so I have downloaded it and will test it later. _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

The changes from what you have are mainly cosmetic. There is a changelog in the download.
The basic difference in the area you mention is that all cameras in that category are changed in one operation.
Previous they were set by camera type and speed and was considered a faff.
V1 is still available if you prefer it but I'm only maintaining V2

OK, did a fresh installation with new folders.
If I download Database Tools, and top option, everything seems correct and no errors.
If I use Make new selection – PIO Loader – Consolidated, I get file errors:
Hope that helps, but I think I will just use the one file that has no errors for now.
A quick question: when you have processed the files, is it possible to set the process option without having to unzip the file again? _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

Correct, the program only works with the Speed Zone set. _________________ DashCam:

It may just be me doing something wrong, but after processing the "21-054" I end up with a very small file size below 20 KB but last time I processed the files they were over 13000 KB.
I will look into it in more detail later as I may be doing something wrong, but never had this issue before after many years of using the database. _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

I processed the latest file OK yesterday morning.
Are you using the download link in the program to get the correct file ? _________________ DashCam:

Yes, just tried it again and still a very small file.
EDIT:
I think I was pointing it to the wrong folder location. _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

I've just installed version 2 and now have two versions on my PC. What is the best way to uninstall version 1? Thanks. |

Ah, right.
That's messy but achievable.
Because I use Microsoft ClickOnce (no choice under free Microsoft Studio Community) the program doesn't get written to Program Files.
What you will need to do is uninstall version 2 then manually remove version 1 as the uninstall routine will have been overwritten.
To manually remove you need to delete everything under :
C:\Users\[your username]\Appdata\Local\Apps\2.0\
Then reinstall V2
I haven't got PC access till Wednesday this week to check any more detail. _________________ DashCam:

Just to rub salt in, I don't use my Garmins now as my car has Android Auto Google Maps which is far better for navigation and STA is better for cameras
Both my Garmin's are sat in a cupboard and I charge them monthly.
Once I've moved and I get stuff out of storage I may sell them. As it is I just have the headunits to hand.
Still to find a suitable house, no rush as I'm with relatives with loads of space. _________________ DashCam:

Ditto. Android Auto on my Kia Sportage is a joy. I have my phone in its windscreen mount displaying STA and I can see the cameras on its display and the very large display in the Sportage gives me the Google map, directions and my podcasts to listen to.
I fear the days of most stand alone Sat Navs are numbered. |
