Just had the notification too on Garmin Express so have connected and am downloading - hoping for an error free installation. Usually Garmin update GE before a map update as they often need to tweak something or other. File size offered of over 10.53Gb is first time I've seen it over the 10Gb threshold. As you say, at least it's an update.

Full download is 10.53Gb (according to GE) whereas 2023.10 was 9.4Gb
Key differences between 2023.10 files and 2023.20 for those with full European coverage. Note file numbers usually increment in '10s' so '220' should have rolled over to '230' but instead shows '250'.

Are Garmin concentrating updates on urban routes and not as much on country roads? |

Strange quirk with my Drive 51. I have UK on the device and EU on a card, normally just use the on device map. Updated the device, shows as UK 2023.20 then inserted the card and it shows as up to date EU 2023.20. Now going through "installing same map" to see if it loads the new EU.

What shows in Settings, Map&Vehicles, myMaps ... that'll show you what is installed

I didn't check that but Windows Explorer was still showing the old files as per BAVC10's post above. After reloading the same map the card had the new files on as well as the old. Deleted the old files and the device is showing EU 2023.20 now.
