|
|
I'm using tom tom 3 on a ipaq running pocket pc 2003. I also use checkpoint to show the positions of speed cameras. The cameras come up fine on the maps but I can't get the sound files to play.
I've installed them on the ppc in the same folder as checkpoint as instructed, and assigned the files to the poi but they don't play.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. |

When you assign the sound files in CheckPOInt, do they play when you select them? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'm having the same problem whereby I get no announcements when a gatso approaches. I can see the icons on the map.
Was a solution found for this problem?

I've solved the problem of the voice commands not playing. I had the box checked to start Checkpoint automatically when tom tom starts and assumed that it was running as all of the speed cameras appeared on he map. In fact checkpoint was not running at all. I've unchecked the automatic start and start Checkpoint manually each time I start Tom tom and everything now works fine. If Checkpoint is running there will be a small checkpoint icon in the bottom right hand side of the screen. |

I have my system set-up so that one click of a hardware button launches CheckPOInt.
CheckPOInt is configured to launch TomTom when it (CheckPOInt) is started and exit itself when TomTom is shutdown.
This method enables all the necessary parts to start with one click. _________________ Darren Griffin |
