Can the cameras from CameraAlert be overlayed on to the google map. I keep being told that cameras are already on Google Maps but i have the latest version and still no cameras.

Hi Steve,
Go to:
Settings | Map Show
There should be three options:
Always
Near Camera
Never
For the Always and Near Camera options, you have a further Type option:
Standard
Satelite
Hybrid
I suggest that you try Always / Near Camera with Standard Type. But please experiment.
The above options should be self-explanatory, if not please ask.

I can see the cameras on the iPhone which is not the issue. I wanted to know if this database of cameras could be overlayed onto the google map. |

I presume that you are using the Google Maps App for navigation and wish to have the PGPSW cameras appear on Google Maps App whilst navigating?
I don't know whether you can load custom POIs onto the Google Maps App, so the answer is probably no. _________________ Robert.

Hi.,...It gives both perceptible and visual alerts as you approach a camera. Exceptionally, when you are in a segment of SPECs (Average Speed) cameras, CamerAlert shows your normal speed between every camera in the zone. CamerAlert additionally uses directional data to diminish the quantity of "Bogus Alerts", you are just cautioned for cameras that screen your heading of movement. |

Google Maps has the cameras, they have own database and the cams are visible only when you activate the route with "Directions" button. Not very useful, I keep CA open, normally drive with cars navigation, but occasionally with GM when CA is on background. |

I nearly always use Google maps on Apple Carplay as my VW sat nav is cr@p, and since Apple allowed other apps to run in the background I run CA on my phone at the same time.
Works perfectly!
