Kremmen thank you for all your help to date and the software is running fine. I dont know if you are aware that in the Honda Garmin Satnav GARMIN NAVIGATOR – HONDA BEANS MY16
To enable voice the system has to be reset on each journey. Is it possible to write code to prevent this from happening

Thanks
This is known, reported by M8TJT quite a few years ago in his 2018 10G Civic. It's a Honda failing and nothing I can do.
All I do is provide a.GPI file based on GPX files that have more information. _________________ DashCam:

Some minor changes/bugfixes to both versions.
If POILoader is not pointing to the Converter working directory then the info line text will turn red:
The info line in question shown here in black (no error) but highlighted in red:
Note that V2 is a cut down version. It has no warning text change facility and the Seconds and Overspeed entries are simplified:
Original V1:
**Download CSV Converter V1**
Latest V2:

Oh no, not more changes ............
Whilst investigating CA, and failing, I thought it might be useful to have a verbal warning, ala CA, to warn you of an out of date database.
You will now see this:
V1
V2:
Note that V2 is a cut down version. It has no warning text change facility and the Seconds and Overspeed entries are simplified:
Original V1:
**Download CSV Converter V1**
Latest V2:
**Download CSV Converter V2**
Note: I've also included the Speedtrap Alert download links. I use them to download straight into either Google Drive or DropBox, both or which are accessible directly by STA and saves faffing about downloading on the phone _________________ DashCam:

Anyone feeling like a spot of testing ?
I've managed to force the Converter icon into the Add/Remove programs area.
It gets set the first time the program exits via the routine that saves the settings.
It now looks like this:
Instead of this:
I know it works on Win10 Home and it does check for the correct key values before modifying them.
This change is not in the current version released today and currently only in V2 for testing. _________________ DashCam:

Hi Kremmen, every so often when I have a system crash or a complete system rebuild as now, I have to reinstall CSV to GPX converter which I should now be good at, as the software is becoming more intuitive. However it is telling me that POIloader and SOX are unfound. On pressing POILoader tab i get the message below:
Unhandled exception has occured in your application ...system canot find file....
I know where sox is: it sits in Program File (86)\Garmin\PoiLoader and i can see it there.
I just dont know how to point the software to this file. The installer was unzipped not copied and run as administrator. Can you help me please. I love this software but it always bites me on installation.

Hmmm
What version of the Converter do you have ?
For quite a while now it's had SOX.EXE in the install package and will auto place it into the POILoader location which the installer looks for.
I'll wait for your reply before we go further. _________________ DashCam:

Hi Kremmed, the version of software is V2021.03.10.91
Sox is sitting in the right place in C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\POILoader but the creation date of sox is 6/7/2017 file size 1672kb
If i run checker it shows an error message on setup,,, in get last Garmin deviceModel Argument length must be greater or equal to zero.5
It then runs and says sox found (in green) and subfolders found at the selected PGPSW location.(on a pink background)
GarminChk.txt says:
17/08/2021 17:27:57
Selected PGPSW Directory: C:\Users\Michael\Documents\CSV to GPX Converter
Last Used POILoader Directory:
POILoader Location:
SOX: SOX Found
Last Used Garmin Device:
MainCameraBox Items:
Audio Items:
Picture Items:
Sub Folders: |

Kremmen I found problem with POILOADER. Fixed. PGPSW now runs fine and POIloader tab works. Checker still shows the Get Last Garmin Device Model Argument warning before running though! |

Yes, that 'last device used' check uses a Garmin written registry setting that doesn't get written until POILoader is used to write to the device.
Glad it's now working. _________________ DashCam:

I have been using this for years and would just like to thank you for all the effort you put into this program.
@MIKECURTIS I have just done the same installing after a reset of computer, I find a little problem setting it as you did but I get there in the end. _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

I got a new PC in November.
No problems here with setup from a base install. Once the first database is processed all the bits get saved ready for next time including the first POIloader run. . _________________ DashCam:

I tried the "V2 is a cut down version" yesterday on a Windows 10 system.
If I loaded up the complete data set it was fine, but if I tried the consolidated set it kept giving duplicate errors even though there seemed to be none, and even if I deleted them it still returned the same error.
This was using the "Garmin POILoader" version. _________________ Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S |

Both versions use the same 'behind the scenes code'
The only difference is a cosmetic view and the ability to speed changes.
I'm surprised it works with the consolidated as it was only programmed to use the speed zoned set which you've found to work.
If you're still getting errors I'd strip out all the .CSV and .GPX in the working folder and re-download.
Second page in the manual :
The program uses the .CSV files created by unzipping the Garmin POI Loader Speed Zoned Complete package from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/. _________________ DashCam:

I ran it through with the consolidated version and it does produce a controlled error indicating unexpected files found.
These were :
Gatso.csv
Specs.csv
Mobile.csv
Redlight.csv is valid because it's the same in the Speed Zoned set.
All I've done is increase the error message to prompt a check that the correct database has been downloaded.
The fix is to remove the CSV files indicated in the error message and go again.
The surefire way of avoiding this is to download the database from within the program.
The new V2 version is 2022.02.17.11 _________________ DashCam:
