Just doing my weekly PGPSW and device update and found a new map available, 2021.30 was only released end of April !

Showing as a 9.5 GB download for my Drivesmart 51 and a 10.5 GB one for my Nuvi 3590.
I wonder why there is this discrepancy, as I would have thought there would be only one data set? |

Last one was short lived !
April 28th so only 6 weeks.
Plus, this won't fit on my backup 2599 without a card

Just updated my Drivesmart 55 the size was 3.25GB, are these the actual map updates where it features all new roundabouts, roads etc? Sorry if it's abit of an obvious question I don't update it that much to know.
I can't find anywhere on the device that tells me what map it is running? |

Garmin Express will tell you which map is installed and yes, it is a full update with changes to roads and junctions etc. Is your map only for a small region as my EU was 7GB+ ?

On my drive I noticed the popup pictures of which lane and road layout to follow are much improved.
Sort of 3D

I think mine is just UK? How can I tell?
I did update it a few months back and the update was pants, because on certain roads it said the speed limit was 12 mph! No such limit exists so hopefully they've ironed those issues out in the new update. |

Hopefully the same will be with mine too. Tho I still think the arrows which show which lane to go in on the top corner could be improved as I find Waze much clearer for this. |

In Garmin Express in the updates box click on Map Details, mine shows Map: Full Coverage of Europe 2022.10

Just looked and it says UK and Ireland which explains the smaller file size. |

My option always used to be to reduce the map to UK only as I have no intention of going abroad but that option is no more.
