You will probably get more useful info on a Skoda forum. _________________ DashCam:

Unless anyone knows differently, the Amundsen Satnav, fitted to most modern Skoda vehicles that have satnavs isn't compatible with Pocket GPS data.
However there is a way to get some cameras on there from another source.
I have a Skoda Yeti with the most modern Amundsen 2 unit. To avoid confusion, this is the unit with TWO SD card slots on the front of it, and FOUR buttons down each side. The left hand card slot is for the Skoda Maps, and the Right hand slot is for uploading other files.
Using a link from the BRISKODA website, I have been able to install a database of various other speed cameras posted by a member called Snow Goose.
The database is a 2018 version, but installs pretty easily on this unit, once the neccessary file has been downloaded and then unzipped to an SD card.

As this unit is fitted to a lot of newer (say 2016 onward Skoda vehicles) it should work.
But I wish the formats in Pocket Database were available for this satnav unit.
Don't bother ringing Skoda! Their Customer service is only surpassed by their ignorance about anything that doesn't involve them taking money from you.
IF ANYONE DOES KNOW HOW TO GET POCKET GPS ON THESE Amundsen units......love to hear from you, and I'd gladly buy the annual subscription to be able to keep up to date.
The VW information DOES NOT WORK on Amundsen units as somebody suggested.
Thanks

Thanks for this OldBoy
I truthfully wouldn't have a clue where to start with that. But if I can help with any information ref the Amundsen unit (as factory fitted to my car) I'm happy to try. |

| A copy of the file you unzip to the SD card would be a good start. At least it would give understanding of the file format. This might then be workable. _________________ Richard

Yeah, if you send me the 2018 file you got I'll see if I can work out the format etc for it.
