Not really a GPS application but with more cars having Android Auto installed, I thought I would just let users be aware that google has opened up android auto for other navigation app developers.

Both TomTom and Sygic which uses TomTom maps are working on updates for their apps to work with Android Auto

Interesting stuff. I have fully paid up Sygic on my phone. The main problem is that the phone gets pretty hot when running it and they have removed the ability to add third party speed cams.

yeh and it a shame CA don't work with AA either as would have been perfect.

I've got both Sygic and TomTom and prefer to use TT with CA but as I've moved to AA, I can't currently use any of them on the screen Sad

CA don't work on Android 11, I'm going to probably test with my p20 Pro and see if that works.

Android Auto is being introduced as new cars are developed with better headunits.

Some are better than others.

I upgraded to AA last month on my Toyota. I don't like it.
True I can display a different map set and have the satellite map but is is not truly integrated. I no longer get the directions pop up on the main screen and I it does not have auto zoom as far as I have found.
I also found it has a destination screen or similar permanently on the map which is distracting.
I suppose I could explore more but I find the simplicity of the OEM Here mapping is easier view while driving.
Horses for courses I guess.
