Android 10 - Not Registered

I thought it was just Samsung S10 devices.

S9 and S20 reported as OK so what have Samsung done.

I thought there were more, but the Note 9 and S9 are also mentioned on here as not working on 10. Only Samsung users then, but hey, who cares? Crying or Very sad

My Samsung updated itself yesterday and my initial thought was that it might sort the problem with Camera Alert. However no change.

CA works OK with Android 10 on my Pixel 3.

Anyone know a way I can use CA when I'm connected to the car and running Android Auto?

New company phone today, Samsung A51 running Android 10 UI 2.5. All updates applied and CA works!!! Not sure how long for, but I was very surprised.

Can't believe this issue is still ongoing with the manufacturer that has 40% of the global android market.

S20FE user here having upgraded this weekend to find Cameralert not loading over a year after it was reported.

Sub will not be renewed unless sorted which is a real shame as I've been a happy user for over 10 years.

Just bought a Samsung A41 running Android 10 with One UI version 2.5. CA appears to be running ok. I road tested it on a familiar route.

My wife's phone has One UI version 2.0 and it doesn't work on that, so for sure the issue has been with Samsung's UI. Be patient and wait for your phone to get an update if you have v2.0 or lower.

Very odd.

It's almost like the required support libraries are still intact on some phones whilst others have been stripped of them.

I'm perfectly happy with STA so a second phone is not on my list.

I've stopped investigating as I can't debug the program without the full setup.

Yes I have decompiled the APK and viewed what's available. I think I've found the line that's calling the java/lang, which it can't find, but without breakpoints it's pointless continuing.

I wonder where the full source code is.

Hidden in one of the modules is the developers name and company and I've found an online presence but no contact details and nothing since 2018.
