Hi. Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I had this email arrive today. I had been on a journey and used the cameralert on my iPhone but I have not submitted any cameras. Wondered if this was dodgy. The location shown is 'up north'. I went to the south coast from south London.

Nope, looks genuine. Why you got it having not submitted a camera I'll let others answer. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Does the Elson location with 4 way Redlight sound like somewhere you've been ? _________________ DashCam:

Weird. I searched the coordinates and they were up on the north west coast. Elson though IS an area on or near my route yesterday. Maybe I have pressed something by accident? |

Update ( cannot find edit ), I have researched the coords and although I WAS about half a mile from the Elson location I did not actually go there at all. Glitch? |

I suspect that it was close enough for a confirmation of the existing cam.
There are actually 4 cams covering those lights, already in the database. |

Does / will it send something like this automatically or have I pressed something? I am sure I did not touch the phone at that location or nearby. Sorry but new to using this on the phone as always had the TT before. |

'Confirm' implies you submitted a 'seen again' for an existing camera. |
