Now 'link' STA database settings to your downloads folder. |
How do you do that then? I have had a look and can't see that option. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Oh, you mean 'that link'
All that does is download the file. From then on my Settings - Database routine is still as now. _________________ DashCam:

Yes. It downloads directly to the download folder ON YOUR PHONE.
Now tell STA where it is.
OK. I'll spoon feed you. First a couple of assumptions
1. You have sent yourself a starred email and have access to it on your phone.
2. You are logged on as a subscriber to PGPSW on your phone.
OK then lets go.
a. Open your email and (double?) click the link. (this will download the latest database on your phone.
b. Open STA and chose Settings ~ databases
c. Hit the dots to the right of your database
d. Chose 'Remove' to remove the current database
e. Tap the hamburger (Three vertical dots at top right.)
f. Chose 'Add file'
g. If required, navigate to your downloads folder (STA will 'remember' this location next time)
g. Tap the latest downloaded PGPSW .zip file
h. Tap pocketgpsw_uk_sc.txt
JOB DONE
You can do the whole thing 10 times whilst you read this list of instructions.
Not quite two or three taps but no computer or suspect file manager/unzipper
But DO NOT ask me to do a stupid video that you will have to keep rewinding to find out what the hell I am doing as per most of these 'How To' videos on UTube. |

Yep, same as me.
When you said you do yours with 2 or 3 taps you were being political _________________ DashCam:

Ahh, that's how I do it, but my phone doesn't remember to go to the downloads folder for it, I have to make my own way there. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |
