|
|
Hi,
I'm about to purchase a new system comprising IPAQ 4150 with bluetooth TomTom or CoPilot and have a few questions about SD cards:
1. Is there an advantage to buying a faster SD card? I'm thinking of SanDisk Ultra II SD.
2. Is SanDisk a good choice or are there better brands?
3. What card size should I go for, I'm thinking 512MB or 1GB? I will be mostly driving around London and South-East but want to use IPAQ for other things.
Cheers,
Pawel |

TomTom does not get on with Sandisk cards as they are too slow for it. CoPilot is not so fussy, and I happily use it with a 1GB Sandisk SD card. If you get a 1GB card then you will be able to fit the whole of the CoPilot maps for Western Europe on it. I don't know how much space the TomTom maps require, but I believe it is a bit more space due to them using less compressed files. _________________ Kam |

TomTom requires about 103 Meg for the entire UK map, so it will fit on a 128Meg card. I've got a 256 which has some room left, but if I buy something like memory map or anquet I might want to buy a bigger one... |

Yes, the large size makes sense, what about the brand? Does anyone have their favourites? |
