OK here.

I thought that, no posts for quite a few days.

I've used the lockdown to make a small change to the Converter. Nothing major, just a tweak to the Garmin check data screen.

Trev is checking it.

Ok, just fine and dandy ATM.
I'll have a look tomorrow K and report back via usual channel. Lack of enthusiasm ruled today. Confused

Change of routine and schoolwork etc is causing massive issues here. Trying to work as much as I can but to be honest there isn't much - particularly with regards to speed cameras!

My Dad got a letter from NHS stating he's vulnerable and must not leave home until at least the middle of June. Thankfully 3 of their sons live nearby so we're all pooling in to get food in for them as well as antiseptic wipes that he needs for his health issues. It's all a bit overwhelming to be honest...

Busy here. Please don't think that I'm complaining because I'm not.

I work for one of the big supermarket chains and I normally do evenings. Last night I shut the shop as usual (and did the associated work for that) and then helped the night staff with shelf stacking until 22:00.

Today is my normal day off but I was back in the store at 06:45 this morning to prep for and to open the store. I finished around 14:00.

The store has been limiting people in (one in, one out) with queues all around the car park to get in. We've also only had every other Check-Out open (for social distancing) this has resulted in queues halfway around the inside perimeter of the store.

A big thank you to all of our customers for being so nice and understanding and not complaining about having to queue for so much in these unprecedented times!

At the moment having moved house just before Christmas I have loads of jobs to keep me busy, but the real pain was finding today that the guys doing our conservatory, even though they can work, can't get the supplies etc from their supplier so work is now at a standstill. Thankfully they left the roof and parts of the old conservatory standing while they prepared the new, large shell, so we're now coping with a 'fresh air' conservatory.

Deliveries are still taking place though, so have just ordered some stuff from Wickes (earliest delivery Friday week!) and we have a load of slate chippings coming tomorrow, plus we bought loads of paint over the weekend so I'm good for a few weeks yet Very Happy

We are in our second week, having agreed to do as the family were urging us. I texted all my customers I was parking up, so no more whitevanman until further notice - all of them replied that it was wise.

So today I got a text telling me to stay home - I’m not medically classed as vulnerable, presuming just that they’ve got round to checking my age down at the surgery.

We have a large garden with weeds for Vera and veg patch for me - it’s not planting time yet so it’s getting the best digging over it’s ever had.

This month will be my worst ever in 20 years for my business. And yet I suppose I won’t even bother trying for anything from whatever is coming for the self employed - I am, after all, retired since about 25 years ago and it would be ridiculous to hand out public funds to a pensioner!

So in a fit of realism, I have resolved to put my affairs in order to save problems for whoever has to deal with them. Morbid or what?

Good to see that you are all keeping safe.

We are coming to the end of our second week of lockdown here in Spain, just another two and a bit weeks to go (at the moment) . Thankfully, we can get most of our provisions from the village shop and there isn't any reason to go too far from home. It's like a ghost area, no cars, busses, vans, dog-walkers, etc. People here are taking it very seriously.

I really ought to be using this unexpected free time to be getting the unfinished jobs on the house done but I'm finding it terribly difficult to do anything other than drink tea and make loads of lists of the things that I should be doing.

Today it is pouring with rain, the garden is flooded and is like a lake. So, no gardening or painting outside, guess that I'll just have to have a cuppa while I make a new list for today. /sigh.

Good luck everybody. Keep safe and well.

Sowed the peas last week and chitted the broad beans and sowed them this tuesday. Just put the spuds in, so despite a late start (due to the wet), we've now got back on track. Wind was bitter this afternoon, here in North Sussex.

Looking at the state of things, I'm very glad I closed my business and retired 5 years ago. All I'm suffering, at the moment, is a complete collapse of my social calendar.[/quote]

Well now. I've heard of East and West Sussex, but never come across North Sussex before.
But I suppose on that idea, I live in South Sussex. Very Happy
Best I change my location thingy.
