Strange, I also am on 1.1.26 Beta V81, but it wasn't offered for download and I have my apps set not to auto update
edit: Apparently last updated on 23rd Jan! _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Looks like I am being offered a new beta which Play store says was released on 1st Feb. Average speed check improvements.

Hi,
This Sunday I rolled out a new version (82) in production. I always put the app in beta-channel first, then release it to production. Currently both versions they are the same.
What's new:
- full support of exitspecs. Database still contains them as specs end. A week or two is needed to wait when most of users upgrade.
- one thing I forgot to mention in previos messages: with map data (road network) the app tries to suppress false alerts from roads nearby. But only on motorways. On other roads this may be unsafe in some situations |

Thanks for the heads up Leo.
I'll give it a whirl against my test Specs with the exit specs |

Can you let me know when it is 'safe' to change the download to use '100013' for EXITSPECS instead of '100011'?
Cheers! |

Oh yes, V82, never spotted that coming in.
Not sure when I'm next using car from Reading as I now mostly use the, free for me, train. Definitely within the next week though. _________________ DashCam:

I use GDrive because trying to navigate to the PGPSW page on a tiny phone screen I find awkward. Old eyes and fat finger syndrome.
I use my 10" tablet (with pinpoint accuracy S-Pen) to download then share into GDrive then manage databases in the app. _________________ DashCam:

Interesting thread and a nice new app work around for the Cameralert problem for us Samsung users, just about to pay for the full version.
I wonder could someone give me advice on the camera alerts set up on the fixed camera setting for example, I have my first warning set at 15 seconds and variable distance ticked as I previously had it set up as and I find this setting meets my needs.
What are the effects of the next settings
a) speed difference to speed limit to activate audible alert at the moment I have this set as any.
b) speed excess warning at the moment it is set at 1/8 mile
c) beeper distance at the moment set at 700 yards and
d) speed to activate beeper at the moment set at 10 mph
At the moment I have the speed limits section turned off.
Any help would be much appreciated as usual _________________ Malcolm

There are a lot of settings I don't fully understand either.
I'm sure Leo will be here later.
That speed related setting presumably is to suppress warnings when you're crawling in traffic. _________________ DashCam:

Mally1957 wrote: | Interesting thread and a nice new app work around for the Cameralert problem for us Samsung users, just about to pay for the full version | You will still have to pay for the 'full version' as your subs is to access the database not to use CA. Use the database on any device = pay subs.
a)Bit of a mouthful but if you can think of some thing better, please post it,
An example clarifies. Camera speed 30 MPH speed difference... +5MPH. Alert will not sound unless you are exceeding 35MPH
b)If you are still over the camera speed + diff (35 in above) then a second alert will sound. In your case at 1/8 mile.
c) Intermittent low beep in range of camera (700 yds in your example)
d)Beeper will not sound unless you are going faster than 10MPH.
Turn the speed limits on and get the UK road data database (It's called something else that I can't remember but in the settings)
The device will then warn you as you are approaching a speed limit area that is lower than the one that you are currently driving.
EDITED TO CORRECT ONE EXAMPLE OF DUFF GEN AND MULTIPLE TYPOS

I have my phone on permanent vibrate only so I get zero overspeed or other related stuff that doesn't go through bluetooth, which seems to be quite a lot.
All I get is camera ahead warnings _________________ DashCam:
