Thanks Kremmen. I only have the gpx file called pocketgps_uk_sc.gpx in the PersonalPOI folder so I guess identically naming a WAV file won't work for me.
Thanks for your time though !! |

Are you sure your unit won't read a GPI file ? _________________ DashCam:

|
|
Hi, I have recently installed pocketguide GPS speed camera warning in my E-Class Mercedes comardo sat nav. It works great but I can't switch off the audio warning which it beeps every single time when I go past a speed camera.
I try to switch off the audio and visual warning but the system resets it straightaway. So it won't let me switch off the audio warning. If anyone knows how to switch off the audio warning and without resetting it but still keep the speed camera signs on that will be great.
Thank you in advance,
Trevor |

Are you having to use Garmin POILoader ?
If so then you'll need to use SOX.exe and use some empty WAV files.
I won't go any further until I know about POILoader. _________________ DashCam:

Why on earth would you not want audio warnings? |

I think it's the annoying beep that isn't required. I'd probably want the same given that modern cars beep for all manner of things.
I was going to expand on the verbal warnings in step 2 _________________ DashCam:

Ah. There you go then. I see. Now let me get this straight. 'No sound' really means 'different sound'? |

Good evening.
It’s been a while.......
So in the end I stopped fighting the audio 20 and accepted its limits. I was bought a Garmin dash cam for Xmas a few years ago and it’s really rather good when you delete the Cyclops database and load the PGPSW one instead.
Anyway......
It’s car change time for me, and my new Merc arrives in March, this time with command. So I’m keen to see if it will work this time?

Keep us posted.
Due to an ongoing move I'm not as active on my PC of late but I'll endeavour to make any changes required. _________________ DashCam:

Do you mean can you run a speed camera warning database on a laptop? Not sure but I think having a laptop running while you're driving may have some safety issues attached... |

No, the instructions reference using laptop driven by Xp / Windows 7 to download the database to and to compile the SD card.
i just want to know is the process / software compatible with Windows 10 |

Yes, the procedure is just the same under Windows 10. _________________ nuvi 2599LMT-D, oregon 700, basecamp, memory-map. |
