Phone recently updated to Android 10. Since then CameraAlert (1.4.0.876) has refused to start even after a restart.
Previously, on a number of phones, it would generally take several attempts to open but now, nothing. other than the "CameraAlert keeps stopping" warning. Not even an option to send error report when trying to login again.
Very frustrating as unable to use my subscription. |

We're aware of this. It seems to be specific to Samsung's version of Android 10 as it works on other Android 10 devices. |

I've uninstalled and reinstalled app and now i get a warning to say app is designed for previous Android version and also the "stop" screen offers a Send feedback option which i shall do. |

There's another thread here about Samsung Android 10 and CamerAlert.
We are waiting for an official response. _________________ DashCam:

Since the other thread is mainly about use of another app, it would be helpful to know if the team are working on a version of the Cameralert app which works on the current Samsung phones with Android 10.
I was very happy with the app, so if it's only a matter of days before a new version is released, I'd prefer not to have to go through the learning curve of a replacement app.
Thanks! |

What would have been really useful if a mod had done as I suggested and started a new thread for SpeedTrap Alert (STA) and shifted all the relevant posts from that thread to the new thread.
As you say, at present the thread is cluttered up with STA posts and if anyone actually wants to find out anything about STA, they can't find it as it is buried at the back end of a thread about CamerAlert. |
