The second screenshot is of my working folder

Delete those 4 Excel marked files, they shouldn't be there. _________________ DashCam:

Thank you.
Those 4 Excel files were part of the camera download from PGPSW. After I cleared the 4 Excel files, and then ran the software again it put the 4 Excel files back. The size of the file I downloaded was 2,120kb, if this helps
So I then went for another camera update download but the size was 208kb, and everything went well and have now updated my Garmin _________________ Keith

Spot on. You downloaded the wrong database in the first place. |

So what's the difference, beside the file size? _________________ Keith

Well, as I don't know which file you downloaded in the first place, I don't know.#
Suffice to say that the first one doesn't work so is obviously wrong and the second one works etc.
Can't work it out either.
The proper file is 208kb (as you have found)
Are you sure that the big one was not a re download of Kremmens program? No, it wasn't that. Kremmens is enormous. |

Is it
I have to check for duplicate files in all Working Folder directories and sub directories or duplication may occur.
If you use the download database link from within the Converter then you will always get the correct 'Garmin Speed Zoned' download. _________________ DashCam:

I've had a small number of requests for help setting up the Converter.
Given that I will only have very limited access to my PC, and therefore TeamViewer access, I've created what I hope will help some get the Converter started.
In the download package are 2 new folders, both laballed 'Simple':
Let me know if there is anything missing to get you going. They aren't designed to fine tune the package but just to get you started with sound and icons that seem to be the most requested problem.

|
|
When I try to run the CSV/GPX converter on a Windows 7 virtual machine (Linux host) I receive the following error.
Clicking OK on the dialogue just closes the window with no chance to access settings etc
The VM has full internet access (although being W7 I am thinking of restricting it to LAN only soon)
It works fine on a W10 virtual machine using the same Linux Mint host (64 bit) but that is just so bloated, laggy and intrusive that I would rather not use it if possible.
I also tried installing it under WINE but that refuses to install .net services for me.
Any ideas please what needs to be done to rectify this or can I bypass the database check at startup.
Kind regards

The latest versions of .NET require TLS 1.2 to be the default protocol
Quote: | TLS is a replacement of the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). It provides secure communications on the internet. It is used for web browsers and other applications that require data to be securely exchanged over a network such as an email, file transfers, VPN connection and voice over IP.
Windows 7 supports TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2. But these protocol versions are not enabled on it by default. On Windows 8 and higher these protocol are enabled by default. |
Follow this link for info to force Win7 to use TLS 1.2 :

Thanks, that sorted it.
I had searched the error previously and the results I found had me adjusting windows features in settings to no avail.
Now just to figure out why my WINE will not install .net services _________________ https://share.octopus.energy/dense-raven-261 |
