...and as per normal, regular attempts to download this update on the Mac have failed due to servers being busy. Usually if it works it takes 40 minutes to download & install.
So, I get out my old W10 laptop and connect the TomTom through that...click update all...and downloads at first attempt, taking 10 minutes from start to finish. |

Same problem for me. 20 attempts on Mac = 'server busy'. On my GF's windows laptop, her TT updated first time on the same internet connection.
Either they have goosed the MyDrive Connect app on OS X or somehow prioritising Windows. |

Not for me.
I even went as far as uninstalling the app, removing all the crud left over, and reinstalling.
I'll stick to the PC method for now...as I should be used to developers giving the Mac users less love than Windows users |

...another glitch yesterday was I told it to route me to avoid toll roads (as I was in a hire car and didn't have my toll tags with me).
First time it told me to stay on the M6 (and the route instructions said M6), but the directions were taking me to M6-Toll and Mersey Gateway toll, so cleared & replanned and it did the same.
Had to completely restart the device to get it to route via the M6 & M62 instead of the M6-Toll & Mersey Gateway toll. |
