Hi,
I am running a Galaxy S6 with CA on it, it is BT connected to my Jaguar system, CA is set to BT headset and it chimes in nicely at the appropriate time. But I have tried everything in the advanced settings to adjust the volume down as it is rather loud. But nothing seems to work? Its the same even if I use it through the phone speaker its irritatingly loud.
Is this a bug or just user incompetence?
Cheers

If your connection is the same as mine it's the car audio you need to adjust - whilst it's playing.
When you know you are approaching a camera get ready to adjust. _________________ DashCam:

Are you connected via A2DP or by HandsFree?

Very good question
Just looked at my manual, I think I have it hands free, my audio music plays through A2DP, but I set CA to Bluetooth headset as it then cuts in whether the phone is playing or the car radio. I also get the telephone symbol come up on my dash when it does talk. |

So yeah, what Kremmen said - adjust the volume for BT when it's talking.
The 'advance settings' for adjusting the alert volume only work for A2DP (stereo audio / music) connections.
Another suggestion would be to use "Bluetooth Volume Control" from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.darken.bluemusic&hl=en_GB
I use this (bought the full version for all of £3 I think as it was so useful). You can set it so when you connect to a specific BT device you can automatically set the volume level of both audio and handsfree per device regardless of what the level was on before. So when I start my car and my phone connects to BT then the music goes to 100% and the voice level goes to 60% as that works best for me. When I connect to my headset the voice call level goes to 80% but music to 50% because those are quieter for calls but louder for music. etc.

When I first realised I had a low sound issue I loaded a music track on my phone and played that through the car system via BT.
That allowed me to raise the volume whilst stationary. This sound setting was totally separately from the main audio volume.
Then when CA played a camera alert, that is, as said, a pseudo phone call, I was able to fine tune the volume via steering wheel buttons. _________________ DashCam:

Feedback, tried teh app, no difference, then I turned stuff down and got no audio , will try again when I have more time. But turning the volume down in the car whilst CA was speaking worked fine, thank you for the help. |

To further help with this I have just found that on my samsung if I changed the voice in the app it gives a sample giving you time to alter the volume. The volume is actually the call volume that you would alter only during a call. The downside is that in normal out of car use you have to increase the volume again but I don't receive that many calls for it to be a problem _________________ Happy Lexus GS450h owner |
