Any help greatly appreciated.
I’m looking to install cameras on my factory fitted Jaguar F Pace Sport 2018 model. It appears there is no cameras loaded.
Last resort is a road angel!
Thanks |

Do you know who provides the SatNav ?
A lot of manufacturers seem to favour Garmin based units and they often will accept, after a struggle, a .GPI file.
If it's TT based then it's very unlikely to accept any form of proximity alert style POI's. _________________ DashCam:

Thank you.
I have tried to ascertain the make of the software but to no avail.
Any hints as to how I find out?
Thank you |

On this site there is a guide to installing camera warnings on a 2013 XF.
https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-jaguar-xf.php
But I have not seen anything about installing on later models... I am very doubtful.
In my XF I simply use my Garmin 2599 on the RH dash corner with a beanbag mount.
I truly doubt that any installation on the factory satnav would give me the great directional and spoken warnings that my Garmin standalone gives.

... and that seems to be the crux of built in units across the board. Manufacturers don't want owners to mess with them adding in extra functionality and potentially adding to service departments visits.
Those that have found workarounds to get them to work often have glitches.
Even if it were possible built in units more than likely only have RDS traffic which is pants when compared to the latest live traffic offerings from Garmin and TT so for me, running a Garmin and leaving the built in unit stock makes sense. _________________ DashCam:
