Have just got rid of my Nissan, where I uploaded the speed camera updates weekly, and now getting to grips with Mazda's system.
It has cameras on map already, but anyone know which database I should d/load for this system?
Not sure if it's a TT based map.
Second question is how to upload, I have plenty of USB sockets in car but I see nothing in car menu (as there was on my Nissan) regards d/loading new POI's to system, or removing when called for.
Thanks _________________ Gel

Hi if it's like the 6 then there should be a memory card in the middle armrest, lift up the lid and there should be a memory card and two USB ports. Then you go to your computer and download some Mazda software insert the card and register it. Then it will let you know if there are any updates.
However, updates are not frequent enough for speed camera updates and, warning are hit and miss. Not all cameras are on there by the way.
Everything has to be done via the Mazda software as far as I know. If you find a better way please do share on here.
Hope that helps. |

Thanks for that; the data is provided by HERE, as it was on my Qashqai
One weakness I've discovered whilst over here in ROI, is that satnav
doesn't allow input of Irish postcodes (Eirecodes) _________________ Gel

AH how does HERE work then, are you able to bypass the Mazda software to update maps etc? Be interested to know more about the practicalities of how you used HERE for your Nissan and now your Mazda. Is it a newish Mazda? Have you used the MyMazda yet for any servicing etc? I understand they do not provide a service book anymore its all online but I have read the app is very poor and does not work. |

Never had to use my QQ's satnav for Irish Republic, but I've lodged a complaint with MAZDA, that though the Eirecodes have been around since 2015, Mazda (or HERE?), haven't caught up.
Irish codes are a letter, then 2 numerals ; the satnav takes first letter,
then demands a second, with numeral key, greyed out.
More of a major problem for drivers resident in Irish Republic _________________ Gel
