I use this feature all the time when I'm driving around Europe.
I avoid toll roads as a rule but at times I need to force the route on to tolls road to avoid length detours.
TomTom have not produced a serious device since the x40 range. _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

I have to agree with you there, DeLorean! My next satnav is most unlikely to be a TT I'm sorry to say.[/i] |

Don't despair. there are still plenty of good, clean x40's & x50's etc on eBay and most of us know there are numerous "non-approved" forums out there where you can still get virtually all/any current map out there for free but sadly not live services (unless paid for)
The way TT treat their customers just drives more people to these forums

As long as the Carminat is still fully supported my X10's (ahem) will keep going... it's April the 6th which concerns me more as this could be a problem.
I guess I could always shove a newer (ahem again) Navcore on my 910's.
I've have contemplated buying a second hand 950 off eBay but from previous experience of buying 910's what is considered "good/excellent condition" by other people appears to vary wildly. _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

I can't find them, the only ones I've found are these two: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B001F0Q92C/ref=dp_olp_used_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=used Anyway, I've ordered one. I suspect my GO520 desk mount may fit and my remote control will do the job. _________________ Dennis

740 or 750 which is the better as they're very similar in design and both run the same Navcore?
Wasn't the x50 range the first to come with maps for life? _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Life...time of the product... actually I think it was only 12 months of free map updates. _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Very disappointing.
I gave up on dedicated devices about 2 years ago and this new one has nothing to entice me back. I use the iPhone TomTom App which is faster, better screen, does everything I need.
If TT launched a device which set a new bar I would buy it. This isn't it, not by a country mile. It looks like something from 1995. |

I use this on my TomTom One v1 almost every day to choose a particular route. |
