let me clarify:
looking to use my 3400 sleeve with tomtom2 (I don't like SmartSt Pro- it keeps crashign and hanging) do I need to install the NAVMAN GPS controller?
or can I use 'GPS status' from within TomTom and change the GPS reciever type?
In TT2 there is an option for NM3100 NM4100 ....
can this work? or do I HAVE to use the NM GPS?
Thanks. |

In the TomTom GPS Driver Applet, select 'Navman Jacket' or it may be 'Navman 3000'.
You should not need to load a driver. _________________ Darren Griffin |

After a 15 min cold start, it now works a treat
(oh, and I used the navman serial driver update found Here)
(seems to work better on TT3-> wow! how god is TT3? 8O 8)) |

I'm running TomTom 3 on a ipaq5450 with the 3450 voice sleeve no probs. But we did find something strange, initially it would not show the satelite signal strengths in the GPS window but when I went to ipaqGPS sleeve option it did and then came back to NAVMAN 3000 series it continued to work and has ever since! |
