Bit of an odd one this but something in my memory makes me think it's happened before, in the dim distant past.
No matter if I'm submitting a new POI or editing an existing one: The country will say United Kingdom but as soon as I hit 'Accept this Location', the Country changes to 'NOT LISTED'. I then have to scroll almost to the bottom (wish we could use Great Britain - not so far to scroll) to select it again.
A small thing I know, but just a PITA.
Could be a setting on my PC I suppose and can't remember if it did it on the Camera submission page. |

I do get quite a lot of those, on various submissions. I often wondered why.
If I do spot one I change it. I don't know if I've ever missed one. _________________ Richard

Ah not just me then
I even double-checked the 'default country' a couple of times. |

Gah, this is to do with Googles change of API access and keys etc. Just looking into it now.

OK, that should now work.
It was a mixture of the API key along with Google changing it so they only accepted geocoding requests over SSL (I assume because most uses of the geolocation API would be to give details of a person's physical location as opposed to the details of a place on a map - so security of that data transfer is important).
On a side note, it has also fixed the 'automatically add the country dial-code prefix to the telephone number' field of the form :D

Yes, works well. All you have to do is move the pointer to the location and click on the 'Accept this location' button and the country name and telephone dial code appear.
The only time you get the message 'NOT LISTED' is when you select a country that presumably the code doesn't know. Don't worry MaFt, I was testing countries in Africa, e.g. Chad, DRC, Somalia, etc - not that I have any POIs for those countries!
When I submitted a lot of Disney hotels and other Disney POIs from around the world, last year, I wrote an Excel formula to take the longitude and latitude and the known PGPSW country code to create a URL that placed the POI in the correct place with the correct country and dial code. All you had to do was manually add the Category, SubCat, POI Title, and to complete the phone number. Even then I would often get the 'NOT LISTED' message. I'm pleased to say that Excel generated URL works perfectly with MaFt's fix.

Yeah, we don't have every single country in the database. Just ones that are need. I add them as and when we need to. |
