That's another reason I run without mobiles. They are so proliferant round me that I want the fixed cameras to stand out, they remind me to check the speedo.
A little off topic: K, is there no way to get your Garmin or your CSV to GPX conversion utility to only alert of mobiles/fixed sites if you're exceeding the speed limit of the camera by a predetermined amount?
Regards,
Not that I know of. I treat all roads like they have mobiles.
I've posted it before but I turned them off after having about 8 back to back warnings near Ruislip due to there being a major crossroads with them on both roads, plus the way Garmin stores then feeds them. _________________ DashCam:

As you say, marksfish, there is a lot of data enclosed on the photos. But, I'm confused. On the photos, there are two yellow diagonal lines drawn accross the road, apparently originating from the oppposite carriageway. From the data, it states that the *interval* is 0.35 & 0.2 presumably seconds and presuably the time taken between those yellow lines.
In my ignorance I am wondering..
a) Do these cameras work in tandem with a sensor on the opposite carriageway.?
b) How could there be a difference of 0.15 sec (0.35 - 0.20) in the interval of the photos unless multiple photos are taken accross multiple "yellow lines".?
If the inteval is the time taken to break the yellow lines, I notice in the photo that you havent yet broken the second line, if this is the case this would increase the interval time and reduce your roadspeed.
However, my true disgust in this whole episode is that this is on the M25, on a Saturday morning. This motorway must be one of, if not the most important roadways in the UK which has had billions spent on it and yet, on a Saturday morning, the speed limit is 40mph. That is truely woeful. But I'm sure that is a whole diffent can of chipolatas! _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I saw on the PePiPoo forum the following "HADECS3 is radar based and the lines confirm which car was measured with that snap."

I seem to recall there was a minor shunt on the hard shoulder at the time of the limit, about 1 mile up the road from this camera. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

How lucky am I?
Finally got my letter last week offering me a "Motorway Awareness" course. Offence was 11th November, it has bounced between the lease company, my wife and then finally me. Booked and paid for it at a date in the next few days. Letter from Kent Police today saying:
Quote:
I can confirm a technical error has occurred and we can no longer proceed with the alleged offence. Therefore you are no longer required to attend the course previously booked and a refund will be issued in due course.
I'm going to buy a lottery ticket now

The next point the article made was that for at least a decade all car speedometers must overread by 6% to 10%.
The final point it made was that if you are clocked doing even 71mph then your speedo would have been reading a minimum of 76mph so you have no excuse.
In your case, if you were clocked at a true 46mph tben your speedo should have been reading 49mph - 51mph.
Not so. My last three cars and two bikes have been much more accurate than that generally everything over 20 mph has been + actual speed plus 2 mph so at your 46 mph it would read 48.
