You can't import the camera database into the tomtom software.
But what you can do, is install cameralert and then configure it to run in background and alert you to speed cameras, etc.
This is the easiest method on android devices, otherwise you just have to stick with tomtom cameras |

I don’t have TomTom GO Mobile on Android so I don’t know if the following will work. Please let me know. Original thread on TomTom forum:
https://en.discussions.tomtom.com/tomtom-go-mobile-and-navigation-for-android-156/installing-poi-sets-on-go-mobile-1019598
Relevant post replicated here just in case original thread is tampered with:
Eddepet:
just copy the *.ov2 files to: /Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois.
If the "pois" folder does not exist, just create it.
If you want icons for these POI on the map, create 64x64 pixel *.png files with the same name and store them in
/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/ov2_icons/hdpi/
e.g. hotels.png will be the icon for hotels.ov2.
QFour:
You can also play around with PNG files in
/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/ov2_icons/xhdpi/
96 x 96 pixel
/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/ov2_icons/hdpi/
48 x 48 pixel
/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/ov2_icons/mdpi/
36 x 36 pixel
/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/ov2_icons/ldpi/
15 x 15 pixel
I created one in Paintbrush and just reduced the size
As I said above, don’t know if it works so be careful and let us kno the results.

just performed a little test
downloaded the tesco poi from here and resized the image to 96x96 and saved as png
download the rspb reserves and resized the image to 48x48
they both get added into mobile app, the icons show when you go into my places, but don't show when looking at an overhead view of the map so not sure if they show when you are driving though. |

That’s encouraging although a shame that they don’t show on the map.
Can you do a demo route on Android TomTom GO Mobile? If so, could you do a demo route past and also to your test POIs?

Hi walkerx,
I asked in the above TomTom forum and EthoZ kindly replied.
Unfortunately what you’ve already discovered is true. You get the icon for the POIs in MyPlaces but not on the map nor the navigation screen.

yeh, i've seen your post
it works with Sygic
I used Rupi Manager and imported the Tesco POI and selected the icon for it then exported it to Sygic folder directly and the icons show up on the screen and you can navigate to them |

Sygic removed the proximity alerts for user POIs a while ago, so you can now not sensibly use the PGPSW camera database (unless you want to navigate to one) |

that is true (sygic is based on TT), but you can have the poi displaying on the screen, not sure how would be done for PGPSW as each type would need their own icon, or use a single icon for all |
