Hi Guys
Installing Search for sites Pub Stops POIs on my Garmin using Poi Loader.
Loads up the positions on the map ok, but I only get a blue Square and not the correct Icon.
I have the icon located in the same folder and exactly the same name followed by .BMP
What am I missing, something daft ??

Check your PC settings. Some won't show the ending by default so you may find they're named something like icon.bmp.bmp ... _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

They come up fine on the map and I can navigate to them, it's just they appear as little blue squares.
The folder that I point Poiloader to has Pubstops which is a Excel CSV file and Pubstops.bmp in it, that is all. I convert using express mode.
How to I set the laptop to show all extensions ? in case it has something extra (Win 7) |

Microsoft thought that they were being helpful in hiding extensions and naming a program that the data is associated with.
For instance, a .csv file is not specifically an Excel file like a .xlsm file (worksheet with macros) is, it is a file of comma separated values and can be opened by pretty much any text editor. It's just that MS happen to have associated .csv files with Excel (if installed) and Excel opens them in nice chintzy columns. |

Why they decided to hide extensions by default beats me.
Makes it difficult for the non techy users when problems like this occur. _________________ DashCam:
