No problem. I haven't used it much recently but I'll run it for a day or two and see what happens. |

Interesting. Any idea how many cameras would normally have been alerted? |

Background App Refresh
The switches here determine if an app can continue to run in the background.
My iPhone 6s iOS 11.3.1 doesn't list BAR for CamerAlert either. |
Just checked my old iPhone 5 (iOS 10.3.3):
CamerAlert is NOT listed
Just checked my current iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 11.3.1):
CamerAlert is NOT listed
Just checked my wife's current iPhone X (iOS 11.3.1):
CamerAlert is NOT listed
I always run CamerAlert in the background (TomTom GO Mobile in the foreground) and I've had intermittent warnings from CamerAlert for a while - I always thought that it was me forgetting to start it.
When I realise that CamerAlert isn't warning, I bring it to the front then send to background and it then usually works for a while.
Looks like CamerAlert does have a problem running in the background for me.

Is there any way to report this fault apart from this discussion? |

What have you got set in Privacy - Location Services - CamerAlert?
Mine was set to "While Using the App". I will try it later with "Always" selected to see if this makes it work in the background. _________________ Paul |

Have tried both to see if it makes any diffetence. It doesn’t. . We need BAR back: it’s what enables apps like CamerAlert run in the background.
PGPSW: can you tell us anything? Please . . . |

In the background the alerts stopped but then when I got home there were notifications for the two locations I passed. But no audio alert. |

Agreed, it made no difference. I am not getting the alerts at the end of the journey either. I passed 5 cameras the first one within 30 seconds of putting CamerAlert in the background alerted properly (display and sound), nothing at all for the other four cameras. _________________ Paul |

Why don't you try clicking on the 'Support' tab at the top right(ish) of the page?
But to save you looking for it, it's HERE |
