I think the important bit is the title of the dialog, something like 'GB_MinApp::AddRoute' |
Yes, I do get that one too

I get the memory errors quite a bit. CoPilot seems to use up about 8 Meg of the phone memory. I find this bizzare since Mapopolis only uses about 300k Can anyone explain this? |

It might be useful to know the content of the error messages you get Skippy. |

I try to create a route from London to Dublin and I get a message:
GetCGD: Insufficient mem
Alert
Alloc: 111.77KB, ProgM:
132.00KB, StrgM: 926.75KB
You press the OK softkey and then CoPilot quits.
It's not just creating long routes that causes this error, it happens from time to time while doing other things too. _________________ Gone fishing! |

If you are moving at less that 5 mph then the map doesn't update.
POIs disappearing has been mentioned, but I will mention it again, why on earth does that happen? I need to be able to see the POIs when I am moving.
CoPilot uses too much memory, ~8 Mb when running and has lots of out of memory errors.
Routing can be odd. Plot a route from London to Dublin (on the PC) and it takes you via the Stranraer-Belfast ferry (definately not the shortest or fastest route by a long way). If I set a via point at Holyhead then it routes me via the Holyhead-Dun Laoghaire ferry which is the more logical route.
Address lookup is painful. I enter an address in Dublin, IE and it gives me an error "Too many city matches. Please be more specific". Last time I checked, there was only one city called "Dublin" in Ireland. If you enter the city as "Dublin 1" then the lookup works fine and finds addresses in any Dublin postcode, not just " Dublin 1".
The "Take the next left" voice prompt needs to give more warning before the turn (the longest you can make it is 8 seconds). It is not too bad when you were given a warning at 3/10ths of a mile, but if the last turn was less than 3/10ths away then you are only told of the next turn when you are 8 seconds (or less) from the corner. This is not enough warning if you are in the wrong lane. _________________ Gone fishing! |

The coastline of the country disappears when you zoom out too. _________________ Gone fishing! |

According to the tech support people at ALK it is meant to work that way to avoid distracting the driver, personally I'd rather see them, I'd also like to be able to change the POI warning to less than 0.2 of a mile. |

So it doesn't occur to them that the software may be used by a passenger then? _________________ Gone fishing! |

Enter a single character for the "Town or Postal Code" when doing an address lookup and you get an error message "No Response From Server" _________________ Gone fishing! |
