Issue updating S8 cameras today

I opened up CamAlert today to be told my database was out of date. I went to Manage cameras and download database as usual and nothing happened. I went back to Manage cameras again to be told I am logged out and using a unregistered phone and there is no option to log back in again, only to register the device again. I have done so and managed to get logged back in again, but am wondering what may have happened to cause this to happen?

It was very strange. I have been using the S8 since November when I registered it. It seemed weird for me to be told it was the first time the hardware was being used. I'm sure there must be a registration of it somewhere previously to have allowed me to update it weekly in previous weeks.

One of those things I will never know the answer to I suppose.

Have you had any software updates? That *may* have caused a change in the calculated device ID.

I had an Android update a couple of weeks ago, but have updated since that. Have had another update today, see if that effects it.

Just one of those things I s'pose.
