TomTom are hoping to relieve so-called 'Range Anxiety' by rolling out their EV service to North America. The service is made up of an active list of EV Chargepoints as POIs along with real-time availability and details about the adaptors, payment methods and opening times.
The service launched late 2017 in Europe and Hyundai and Kia will be integrating the data into their new Electric cars later in 2018.
For more information on the service here's a YouTube video:

Sorry TomTom, but based on your inability to develop your own basic SatNav products (e.g. TomTom GO Mobile iOS) to a decent level even after 2 years of being released to the public, I won't currently (poor pun intended ) trust your EV service.
Surely, TomTom should concentrate its apparently limited resources on fixing its current range of products before expanding its services.

Out of curiosity last week, I put in the local Toby Carvery where we go each Saturday. It took me to about 500 yards and wrong side of road away. I reckon I'd as soon trust them with EV points as with most other stuff these days. I wonder, does anybody ever successfully use their POIs? Every time I give them a try, it invariably leads to disappointment. _________________ Dennis

That's why I prefer PGPSW's or my own POIs as I know that they are accurate. Plus they can be quickly updated.
Unfortunately, the current range of TomTom products don't allow custom POIs (*) and when you complain to TomTom about the inaccuracy of the built-in POIs they just say report it to TomTom Map Share - OK but I've given up on TomTom Map Share because so far none of my submissions have ever been accepted therefore I don't bother to waste my time.
* Yes I understand that there's TomTom MyDrive but I've never seen it work with custom POIs as TomTom GO Mobile iOS for the iPhone has only just had MyDrive added 2 years after being released and it still doesnt have custom POI support!
So going back on topic, I wouldn't trust TomTom EV Service as it is a glorified POI which is bound to be wrong - based on the inaccuracy of their current POIs.
