Alert freezing

For quite some time now, when I get an alert or a warning, sometimes it doesn't clear after passing, and stays on the screen.

I have to reboot my phone to clear it.

Any ideas?

I posted virtually the same, many years ago when I had my HTC M7. I did send off the logs but got no reply (3 times)

My HTC M9 has been OK

Don't know what Android version, but the phone is less than 18 months old and all software up to date.

I don't run the maps now, whether that helps. I just use the verbal warnings.
