I was going to suggest plugging it in, but I bet you've already tried that. _________________ Dennis

Yes ! , had it on charge for around 4hours , using a Tom Tom mains charger (1a) but it’s still showing flat (red corner on battery icon ) |

I was joking BUT BUT BUT ..... you say you used a TomTom charger for a GARMIN? That sounds like OUCH. _________________ Dennis

It’s a usb charger ! With a 1a charge rate , the same output as the Garmin car charger ( I don’t have a Garmin mains charger ) anyway I’ve just checked it again and it’s now about a third charged after around 6 hours, really slow to charge ! |

Think the charger is ok ,but I have tried others, battery appears to be fully charged now , maybe it was because it was the first charge ?
Returned the original unit as it would reboot itself in use , not helpful on a motorway or in the middle of a strange town ! |

Leave it on 'till it's low and then recharge and see how long it takes on second charge. |

Not so easy , when I plug it into the charger it seems to think its being connected to a computer, and it doesn't want to switch off when disconnected
ive just sent for a mains charger with a " built in lead " I think its the USB lead being two way ( charge + data ) thats causing this to happen
I'll try it when the new charger arrives
thanks |
